| above | higher than something else, but not directly over it | के ऊपर - टच ना करे | There is a bridge above the river. | नदी पर पुल (ब्रिज) है । |
| across | getting to the other side ( over) | एक सिरे से दूसरे सिरे तक | There isn't a bridge across the river. | नदी के आर पार पुल नही है । |
| after | one follows the other | पीछे, बाद में | The dog ran after the cat. | कुत्ता बिल्ली के पीछे भागा । |
| against | directed towards something | विरूद्ध | He has complained against me. | उसने मेरे विरूद्ध शिकायत की । |
| ago | a certain time in the past | बीते समय पहले | Long time ago, there was a king. | बहुत समय पहले एक राजा था । |
| among | in a group | समुह में | Social person enjoy among people. | सामाजिक व्यक्ति लोगो के समुह में मौज करता है । |
| before | earlier than a certain point of time | कुछ समय पहले | He reached before Rajani. | वह रजनी से पहले पहुंच गया । |
| behind | at the back of | पीठ पीछे | The kid was running behind his mother. | बच्चा मां के पीछे दौड़ रहा था । |
| beside | next to | पास में | He lives beside my house. | वह मेरे घर के पास में रहता है । |
| between | something/sb. is on each side | के बीच में | He is sitting between his parents. | वह अपने माता पिता के बीच में बैठा है । |
| by | in the sense of at the latest | (आखिरी सीमा) तक | I shall be back by 6 o’clock. | मैं 6 बजे तक वापस आ जाऊंगा । |
| by | left or right of somebody or something | किसी के एक तरफ | She is standing by the car. | वह कार के पास खड़ा है । |
| close to | near | नजदीक | Market is close to my house | मार्किट मेरे घर के नजदीक है । |
| down | from high to low | ऊपर से नीचे | He came down the hill. | वह पहाड़ से नीचे आ गया । |
| for | over a certain period of time (past till now) | के लिए, अनिश्चित समय बताने के लिए | This is for you. He has gone abroad for two years. | यह आपके लिए है । वह दो साल के लिए विदेश गया है । |
| from | in the sense of where from | से | He comes from NOIDA. | वह नोयडा से आता है । |
| in front of | the part that is in the direction it faces | के सामने | There is a garden in front of our house. | गार्डन हमारे घर के सामने है । |
| inside | opposite of outside | अंदर | You shouldn't stay inside the car. | तुम्हें कार के अंदर नही रहना चाहिए । |
| into | entering something | में (जब कोई चीज किसी में घुस जाए) | Don't go into the kitchen. | रसोई में मत जाओ । |
| near | close to | नजदीक | Our house is near the market. | हमारा घर मार्किट के नजदीक है । |
| next to | left or right of somebody or something | बाजु में | She is standing next to the car. | वह कार के बाजु में खड़ी है । |
| off | away from something or remove | किसी चीज से दूर जाना | Take that weight off me. | उस वजन को मुझ पर से हटाओ । |
| out of | leaving something | बाहर (किसी चीज को छोड़ना) | The cat jumped out of the window. | बिल्ली खिड़की से बाहर कूद गई । |
| over | above something/sb. | ऊपर (टच ना करे) | The cat jumped over the wall. | बिल्ली दीवार के ऊपर से कूद गई । |
| over | covered by something else | ऊपर (किसी चीज से ढ़कना) | put a jacket over your shirt | शर्ट के ऊपर जैकेट पहन लो । |
| round | in a circle | गोलाकार में | We're sitting round the campfire. | हम केम्प-फॉयर के चारों तरफ बैठे हैं । |
| to | towards something/sb. | किसी की तरफ | I am going to school. | मैं स्कूल जा रहा हूँ । |
| towards | in the direction of something | किसी की दिशा में | We ran towards the thief. | हम चोर की दिशा में दौड़े । |
| under | on the ground, lower than (or covered by) something else | के नीचे | The cat is under the table. | बिल्ली टेबल के नीचे है । |
