Adjective - विशेषण
An Adjective modifies a noun. It describes the quality, state, size, colour, quantity, characteristic, action, etc of a noun or pronoun.
Example : smart boy, beautiful girl, black dog, strong base, good advice. Words 'smart', 'beautiful', 'black', 'strong', 'good' are
Adjectives and give more information/description about noun.
विशेषण संज्ञा की विशेषता बताता है । यह संज्ञा/सर्वनाम की विशेषता, स्थिति, साइज, रंग, चरित्र इत्यादि सभी के बारे में बताता है ।
उदाहरणः स्मार्ट लड़का, सुंदर लड़की, काला कुत्ता, मजबूत आधार, अच्छी सलाह । शब्द - 'स्मार्ट', 'सुंदर', 'काला', 'मजबूत', 'अच्छी' विशेषण है जो नाउन के बारे में ज्यादा सूचना/विवरण देते हैं ।
More than one Adjective can also be used for a single noun or pronoun in one sentence.
Example :
Good airline employs tall air hostesses.
Good airline employs tall and smart air hostesses.
Good airline employs tall, smart and intelligent air hostesses.
एक से ज्यादा विशेषण एक ही वाक्य में एक ही नाउन के साथ आ सकते हैं ।
उदाहरण :
अच्छी एयरलाइन लंबी एयर-होस्टेस को नियुक्त करती है ।
अच्छी एयरलाइन लंबी और सुंदर एयर-होस्टेस को नियुक्त करती है ।
अच्छी एयरलाइन लंबी, सुंदर और बुद्धिमान एयर-होस्टेस को नियुक्त करती है ।
Use of Adjective
Adjective is used in sentence at two places depending upon the structure of sentence.
1. Before noun
2. After some verbs such as seem, look, feel etc)
एड्जिक्टिव वाक्य में दो जगह इस्तेमाल होता है (1) नाउन से पहले और (2) कुछ वर्ब से पहले ।
Examples of Adjectives before noun

| My sister lives in the next house. | मेरी बहन अगले मकान में रहती है । | next |
| Mind your own business. | अपने काम से मतलब रखो । | own |
| His hand has six fingers. | उसके हाथ में छह उंगलियां हैं । | six |
| Most boys like the cricket. | ज्यादातर बच्चे क्रिकेट पसंद करते हैं । | most |
| I have not seen you for many days | मैने कई दिनों से तुम्हें नही देखा है । | many |
Examples of Adjectives after some verbs

| The target seems simple for you. | लक्षय तुम्हारे लिए आसान है । | simple |
| You fly high. | तुम उंचा उड़ो । | high |
| Do not become naughty. | शरारती मत बनो । | naughty |
