Could
'Can' and 'Could' both can also be used for Request. 'Could' depicts more politeness and expectation is about 80-90%.
'Can' ओर 'Could' दोनो का प्रयोग रिक्वेस्ट हेतु किया जा सकता है । 'Could' से ज्यादा नम्रता जाहिर होती है और उम्मीद 80-90 प्रतिशत होती है ।

| क्या तुम मुझे अपना पेन दे सकते हो? | Can you give me your pen? |
| क्या तुम अपनी कुर्सियां उधार दे सकते हो? | Could you lend me your chairs? |
| क्या तुम मुझे अच्छी वेबसाइटों के लिंक मेल कर सकते हो? | Could you please mail me the links of good websites? |
| क्या तुम मुझे अपनी नयी कार दे सकते हो ? | Could you please give me your new car? |
| क्या अब हम जा सकते हैं? | Could we go now? |
| क्या मैं तुम्हारी पुस्तकें पढ़ सकता हूँ? | Could I read your books? |
| क्या तुम हमारे लिये उसके ठिकाने के बारे में जांच कर सकते हो? | Could you please enquire about his whereabouts for us? |
| क्या तुम हमारी और से प्रस्ताव आरंभ कर सकते हो? | Could you please initiate the proposal on our behalf? |
| क्या तुम हमारी मुलाकात पक्की कर सकते हो? | Can you fix our meeting? |
| क्या तुम मुझे एक गिलास पानी दे सकते हो? | Could you please give me a glass of water? |
'Could' is used to express the ability of past. It is also used to express the necessity & ability of present and possibility (remote) also.
'could' का प्रयोग भूतकाल की योग्यता, क्षमता आदि को व्यक्त करने के लिये किया जाता है । वर्तमान की अवश्यकता और क्षमता और कम सम्भावना को व्यक्त करने के लिये भी 'could' का प्रयोग होता है ।
Example
| मेरे बचपन में मैं लगातार चार घंटे दौड़ सकता था । | In my childhood, I could continuously run for four hours. |
| जब मैं स्कूल में था, मैं एक समय में 20 केले खा सकता था । | When I was at school, I could eat 20 bananas at one time. |
| जब दुर्घटना हुई तब वह चल भी नही सकता था । | He could not even walk when he met with an accident. |
| मेरी जवानी में मैं 100 किलो वजन उठा सकता था । | In my young age I could have lifted 100 kg weight. |
| जब मंजुला यंग थी, वह 20 लोगो का खाना अकेले बना सकती थी । | When Manjula was young, she could make meals of 20 persons alone. |
| पेंतालीस की उम्र तक मैं बिना चश्मे के पढ सकता था । | I could read without glasses till the age of forty-five. |
| मेरे स्कूल के दिनों में मैं इतना चुस्त था की मुर्गी को आसानी से पकड़ लेता था । | During my school days, I was so active that I could catch the hen easily. |
| हम समय पर नही पहुंच सके । | We could not reach on time. |
| मैं उसका प्रस्ताव नही ठुकरा सका । | I could not refuse her proposal. |
| क्या तुम कार चला सकते हो (अगर जरूरत हो)? | Could you drive the car (if it is required)? |
| क्या तुम इससे बेहतर नौकरी प्राप्त कर सकते हो? | Could you get job better than this? |
| वह घर पर हो सकता है (सम्भावना बहुत कम है) । | He could be at home. (possibility is very less) |
| कुछ भी हो सकता है । | Anything could happen. |
| वह अपने पति से सम्बंध विच्छेद कर सकती है । | She could break with her husband. |
| वे समझौता कर सकते थे । | They could compromise. |

'Could' is the past tense of 'Can'. 'Could' is also used to say something by emphasizing or pointing out in anger.
'Could' 'can' का पास्ट टेन्स है । 'Could' का प्रयोग किसी चीज को जोर देकर कहने या गुस्से में इंगित करने के लिये भी किया जाता है ।
Example
| अव्यन ने कहा की उसके पिताजी जुलाई में भारत आ सकते थे । | Avyan told me that his father could come India in July. |
| He said, "He cannot go" । | He said that he could not go. |
| She said, "I can sing everywhere" । | She told that she could sing everywhere. |
| तुम उससे समझौता करने का प्रयास तो कर सकती हो । | You could try to compromise with him. |
| तुम खुश दिखने का प्रयत्न तो कर सकते हो । | You could try to look happy. |
| तुम पखवाड़े में काम से काम एक बार नहा तो सकते हो । | You could take a bath at least once in a fortnight. |
| तुम अपनी विशाल धन दौलत में से उसे 5 लाख तो दे सकते हो । | You could give her 5 lakh from your huge wealth. |
| तुम मुझ पर एक छोटा एहसान तो कर सकते हो । | You could do a small favour to me. |
'Could have' is used to express past possibility which did not complete. It is also used to express imaginary situations. 'Cannot/Could not' is used
to express impossibility.
'Could have' का प्रयोग भूतकाल की संभावना को व्यक्त करता है जो पूर्ण नही हुई. इसका प्रयोग काल्पनिक स्थिति को व्यक्त करने के लिये भी किया जाता है. 'Cannot/Could नोट' का प्रयोग असंभवता को व्यक्त करता है.
Example
| मैं उसकी चाल को पहले समझ सकता था.(परंतु मैं पहले नही समझा) | I could have sensed his move earlier. (but I did not sense earlier) |
| वह उसे शुरू में ही चेतावनी दे सकती थी. | She could have warned him in the beginning. |
| कबूतर उड़कर अपनी जान बचा सकता था. | The pigeon could have saved his life by flying. |
| वह उसे मिल सकता था अगर उसने चाहा होता. | He could have met him if he had desired. |
| तुम सम्बंध-विच्छेद को बचाने का संकेत कर सकते थे. | You could have given a hint to save the breakup. |
| वह थोड़े से और प्रयास से कक्षा में शिखर पर आ सकता था. | He could have top the class with a little more efforts. |
| अगर उसके पास पंख होते तो वह मेरे इर्द-गिर्द मंडराती होती. | If she had wings, she could hover around me. |
| अगर मेरे पास और साधन होते तो मैं इस वेबसाइट में कम समय में ज्यादा इंग्लिश सीखने की सामग्री दे सका होता. | If I had more resources, I could have provided more matter to learn English in this website in less time. |
| मैं क्या कर सकता था? | What could I have done? |
| उसने यह खुद नही किया हो सकता. | He could not have done this himself. |
| वह उतनी महंगी घड़ी नही खरीद सकता. उसने जरूर इसे चुराया होगा. | He cannot have bought that expensive watch. He must have stolen it. |
| मुझे लगता है वह बीकानेर से हवाई जहाज से आया है. नही वह बीकानेर से हवाई जहाज से नही आ सकता क्योंकि बीकानेर में एयरपोर्ट नही है. | I think he has come by air from Bikaner. No, he cannot come by air from Bikaner because Bikaner does not have airport. |
| वह मांसाहारी भोजन नही ले सकती. वह शुद्ध शाकाहारी है. | She cannot take non-vegetarian food. She is a pure vegetarian. |

Will be able to
To express a meaning that the Subject will be capable to do (can do) something, 'Will be able to' is also used.
कर्ता किसी कार्य को कर सकेगा या करने के योग्य होगा, इसे व्यक्त करने के लिये 'Will be able to' का प्रयोग भी किया जाता है.
Example
| दो महीने में तुम अंग्रेजी बोल सकोगे. | Within two months, you will be able to speak in English. |
| वह 15 दिनों बाद अपना नॉर्मल घर का कार्य कर सकेगी. | She will be able to do her normal domestic works after 15 days. |
| क्या वह सड़क पर अकेले कार चला सकेगा? | Will he be able to drive car on busy road? |
| मेरा मैनजर उनको मना सकेगा. | My manager will be able to convince them. |
| वह समझौता फाइनल नही कर सकेगी. | She will not be able to finalize the contract. |
| बुजुर्ग महिला बस में चढ़ सकेगी. | The old woman will be able to climb the bus. |
